Walter Benjamin: A chronicle of the inner world. An important volume, Autobiographical Writings, was published in 2020, selected and translated by Anna Zsellér. In this review, I discuss the place of these writings in life and work, and their relation to the fundamental questions of Benjaminian philosophy.
