The medium is the message is a classical concept in a new context of the media where focus is shift ed towards the Self; a Self that represents itself through communities, brands, and via professional websites. He/She is the Me 2.0 (Schawbel 2008). Hence the mediated Self turns to become tagged, liked, or an expert of a topic, e.g. as a blogger. The most crucial question for the Self is his/her visibility and invisibility via the media, and also the ratio of this two (McConnell & Huba 2006).
