Sociological Tendencies in Hungarian Philosophies of Law
Bevezetés
This is an introduction to a special issue exploring sociological tendencies in Hungarian philosophies of law. The paper clarifies the organizing concepts of the historiographical approach that inspired the idea of the present collection. According to this approach, sociological inspiration and affinity are distinctive features of Hungarian philosophy and the idea of a ’sociological tradition of Hungarian philosophy’ provides the framework of a narrative that coherently portrays twentieth-century Hungarian philosophy and intellectual history. The paper raises the question whether this approach can be extended to philosophical inquiries into law and introduces the contributions to the special issue from this angle.
