The work of Lukács – both in his life and in the period following his death in 1971 promoted the renaissaince of Marxism. His social ontology made a fertile influence to the theory of politics and law. Lukács’s thought promotes even today the aspirations for democratic socialism; which is the world-historical antithesis to capitalism in today’s world too.
