A call for more honesty and a new economics: strategies to reduce our dependence on economic growth
Not searching for post-growth strategies is extremely risky for our common future. However, transcending the paradigm of economic growth would require substantial changes in our economic and social systems, which would negatively impact significant social groups. This article lists the most important reasons for our dependence on GDP growth and reviews the main directions of post-growth thinking. The goal of the article is to invigorate scientific and social discussions of post-growth strategies.
